I'm an ex-couch potato who is really into capoeira and weight lifting. I'm thirty and learning to do hand stands and cartwheels for the first time in my life. I'm a very determined, driven, energetic person. If I think a thing sounds interesting, I will try to learn how to do it. Because of this, I have a ridiculous amount of hobbies - from archery with a recurve bow, photography, playing the fiddle (badly!), knitting, cooking everything I can from scratch, backpacking, gardening, etc, etc.

I'm very liberal, but not in a stereotypical way. I do a lot of volunteer work, like giving massages at a local AIDS clinic or tutoring Spanish-speakers to take their GED test. I believe in working for your community. I pick up litter, recycle obsessively, compost, buy earth-friendly products. But I also am interested in things like learning to hunt and butcher my own animals. I worked on a farm for a long time and have no problem with eating responsibly raised meat - though I also have no issue with vegans or vegetarians. I'm a big hippie that doesn't smoke pot or wear corduroys.

I'm geeky - I like playing AD&D 2nd ed., and playing puzzle-based computer games like Myst, Riven, Shadow of the Colossus, The Grim Fandango, etc.

I'm queer, non monogamous, polyamorous, and kinky. I don't have issues with commitment, but I never want to be legally married. I'm very interested in meeting other poly families, especially if it includes a bi dude. Most men aren't open about being bi, and that makes things lonely/weird for me.

About me? What can I say here that you haven't already read a hundred times? I have a lot of different interest and am always trying to teach myself something new.

A couple of years ago I decided I wanted to learn how to brew beer. I figured I'm already good at drinking beer, how much harder can it be to brew it :) . It was a fun experiment, I made about 7 or 8 batches (some of it was actually good) but the amount of work didn't leave a lot of free time on the weekends.

I like to cook, even taught myself to bake a little.

I enjoy photography, sometimes I will just take a drive in the countryside and look for an interesting place to stop and snap a few shots.

I like animals. I grew up around dogs my whole childhood and now I have cats.

I have very eclectic tastes in music which range from old jazz of the 30s and 40s (Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald) to classic rock of the 70s and 80s (Pink Floyd, Genesis, Eagles, Elton John) Heavy Metal sometimes (Metalica, Dio, Disturbed) and sometimes even Renaissance and Celtic.

Where to start....Recently moved back to Cincy when my contract for work ended - was living in Europe for the past year. Before that I lived in Tennessee for about 2 years while getting my masters degree, with a stint in South America in there for a while just to keep me on my toes. So yeah, I travel a lot. I've been to 20 different countries so far, which as far as I'm concerned, means that there are about 165 or so to go. Asia is next on my list in terms of places to visit.

I eat food that is healthy and food that is not so healthy (damn cheese burgers) I have good hygene, I am not vein (I can go to long without a haircut), I do not live with my parents, (they don't live down the street or in the same state), I love my kids and cherish my time with them..... TRUE STORY: My kids came to work with me one day and while they were in the office the staff put them to work cleaning the office. Well when they were done one of my coworkers fired them (It was a joke)....lol.... My son took it pretty hard but when he got paid he got over it. A day later my coworker was on TV and my kids were screaming about being fired by him. Anyway I told my coworker about this and he talked about it for days after. What a good time with my kids.....

I live in an apartment with several close friends, Its alot of fun, but can get old after a while. Some days are better than others, but for the most part its okay. I like to party.

I try to be a good person that enjoys spending time with friends. I enjoy music (mostly rock and metal but I like a little of everything) which includes going out to watch bands but also making music of my own. I can play bass guitar and drums well. I can play other instruments not so well.

I'm full of random information, dirty jokes, and movie quotes. A real asset to any trivia team. I am smarter then the average bear, yet prone to making jackass maneuvers from time to time. Often out spoken and a little gregarious, however, initially I am a bit reserved. Don't mistake this for being shy, I just need to warm up to people before I shine.

I am less of a douche then most people, or at least make a conscious effort to not be one. Fully capable of distinguishing the difference between "there", "their", and "they're" and I can even provide samples if need be. My sense of humor keeps me alive, and typically comes through for the win.

I would like to think of myself as a nice guy who knows how to actually be nice to people. It is so hard to watch another couple have the guy treat a girl with disrespect.
