Kon Hills Porcelains, Inc. officially commenced operations on November 11, 1940 and has been producing high-fired porcelain ceramics ever since. The company's production performance was brisk in its first year of operation and David and Rosemary Seyler estimate that it has produced more than 100,000 pounds of high-quality ceramic products in its three years of operation. In 1941, the ceramics were produced for sale to the US government, with sales continuing until 1944.

In May 1940, the first large quantities of ceramics were fired in the kiln, and in May 1941 production at Kenton Hills Porcelains was stopped until 1 June 1941, when all the kilns were last fired. The first products intended for sale started in June 1941 with the production of a large quantity of high-quality porcelain ceramics. In June 1943, all Kent on Hills production facilities, including the kilns, were leased to the US Army for storage of defense materials.

The Schoemaker Company failed to deliver the last shipment of goods from Kenton Hills to outlet stores, and a subsequent legal dispute to recover financial losses was never resolved.
